Exercise Work | Additional exercise work / computer work will be organized later
We will use MBS programs like Working Model, Simpack and math programs like Maple. A good way is if students can use their one laptop in the class room. |
Project and Homework | Every weeks home work should be solved continuously. It will be checked at the following lecture.
At mid of course time a project have to be solved by each student. |
Objectives and learning outcome | Students will be able to
* understand the motion of rigid and flexible multibody systems attached by mechatronic components * setup small multibody models using Math programs and MBS programs * interpret the results of multibody dynamics and mechatronic systems introduction, flexible multibody modelling, mode selection, FEM- MBS interface, MBS applications * write a small MBS program using e.g. Maple |
Prerequisites | Undergraduate basics in mathematics and mechanics, matrix calculus
Maple knowledge is very helpful. |
Teaching Method | Lecture, exercises, homework and practical work on computer programs. |
Exam and Credits | Written exam at end of course, projects.
It leads to 5 CPs (ECTS). |
