Profile

Since many years the topic of my research is the Multibody System Dynamics (MBS) in particularly, the flexible body modeling in MBS. I was direct involved in the development of the MBS programs MEDYNA and SIMPACK.
A highlight of my work is published in the book "Dynamik flexibler Mehrkörpersysteme" together with my colleague Richard Schwertassek.
A specific field is the FEM modeling of beam structures up to the second order theory.
A Mathematica script and the Module SIMBEAM (part of SIMPACK) has been deveoloped.

A efficent tool has been developed for the selection of modes shapes, see Mode Participation Factor Calculator (MPFC)
